Description	The goal of the project is the development of novel polygeneration platforms based on the fossil fuel and renewable sources technologies suitable for electrical, thermal and cooling energy production. The platforms will be developed considering the integration of different generation technologies, such as: - internal combustion engine; - fuel cell; - micro gas turbine; - photovoltaic panel; - solar panel; - wind turbine; - energy storage systems; - adsorption cooling systems, - heat pumps - thermoacustic engine The innovation introduced by the platforms development consists in the co-generation and in the distributed generation, for satisfying the energy demand of different utilities, by using more technologies simultaneously. The platforms will designed according to a modular approach in order to allow the development of polygeneration systems with different size. Furthermore, the project aims at developing the power electronics and the management and control system, that allows to assure the energy demands optimizing the energy production from renewable technologies. The project evolution follows five main tasks. The first three aim at developing the single technologies for the production, recovery and storage of the energy, the fourth at the power electronics and management and control system and the last regards the designing and developing of the polygeneration platforms.
