Description The overall objective of this project is to train 7 researchers, able to manage and master a management perspective, advanced technology, analytical issues specific to agribusiness and agro-energy with specific reference to the oil sector. The training project will develop in individuals involved not only the technical-scientific skills needed to create the foundations of professionalism desired, but will impact primarily on their culture and mentality. Through training courses designed they will be able to: • Develop a long-term vision of the ongoing dynamics in the oil sector and to build visions of perspective that will allow them to react in advance the processes of change. The change it must necessarily accompany the creation of a new managerial skills: trainees as future "Change Manager" agro-food and agro-energy that can integrate strategic innovation, and organizational development of new business models and accelerate changes in the country system • Become managers in-process control of product quality along the olive oil sector, acquiring skills ranging from production technologies, analytical techniques, the marker of quality of extra virgin olive oils • Develop and apply advanced technologies to enhance and recovery of by-products of plant origin to be assigned to the nutraceutical and bioenergy In general, the trainees will become important guides for competitive advantage, ie development and innovation in the South of Italy. In particular, we intend to prepare the following professionals: OB.1¿ Formation of 2 researchers with advanced skills in technology to improve product quality OB.2¿ Formation of 3 experienced researchers in the development and recovery of by-products to generate bioenergy OB.3¿ Formation of 2 experienced researchers of analytical techniques for the classification of oil. The training courses last for 18 months (over 6 months for the selection phase) and require the involvement of structures of particular importance, in particular: - Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria - CNR – Department of Molecular Design - CRA – Olive-growing - Conasco - CER Centre for Renewable Energy - Olearia San Giorgio - APOR - Isolab - Centre for Biochemical Analysis They will operate under the guidance and supervision of the Project Board, specifically identified, and with the advice of Tecnoalimenti. This project aims to create researchers capable of addressing the issues that today constitute an obstacle to the development of the oil industry. This is therefore fully consistent with the requirements of the applicant companies and the industry sector. Indeed, the changing food market and the rapid changes in consumer tastes and expectations have changed significantly the horizon of the food industry, addressing the oil sector to total quality and nutrition.
